Yolande Alexander, PhD

I am a recently retired 25 year public school educator from Michigan. I gladly relocated to Georgia to be closer to my parents. I have 2 amazing daughters. Bria is licensed mental health professional in Chicago, IL and Brooke is a sophomore in college.

My passion is for students to not only flourish academically but also as individual people who can be proud of their role in and importance to society. As an educator, this has led me to being very intentional in exposing my students and mentees to appropriate conversations and interactions to inspire them to be the best version of themselves in preparation for adulthood. I look forward to continuing my advocacy for younger generations by encouraging them to make positive connections within themselves to be happy and successful in their own right.
